Ivkova Slava

In the movie, I found that slava's seemed fun and quite sociable. I learned that it is custom for it to last three days, that meat can be varied, and it seems like an ancient tradition. In the movie, I also noticed that there is Soda Water (Knez Milosh). That has left me thinking, how did they get oxygenated carbon dioxide in the water? These days, you need a giant machine.

Anyways, I enjoyed the movie. I loved the drama, reactions, and laughed at the drunk men.

Hvala Nastavnica!

Zlatibor Experience

Day ONE:

We get to the bus and put our bags in. Everyone sits at random or with friends. The bus drive is quite entertaining untill we have nothing to do. We finally arrive at a petrol station with PUPPIES!!! The puppies are cute and everyone revives their snack supplies. Then we get on the bus again and we eat our snacks.

We arrive at a small church where the boys walk on the right and the girls on the left. The church has a certain feeling about it that mystifies everyone. The person who tells us about the church also mystifies everyone because non of us can understand him.

We continue our bus ride until we arrive at a GIANT CAVE!!! This cave is absolutely massive and is still under construction with the walkways and things. Some water drips from the ceiling onto my back and it feels like it's burning. The water is highly salty and this gives it a burning effect to those who comes in contact.

We finally arrive at the Zlatibor hotel and everyone breaths a sigh of relief. We go to our rooms (some people change rooms) and unpack. We all get around an hour before dinner.

After dinner, we have another half hour until we go out to the lake. We buy games, toys and candy and then return to the hotel.

At 11:30 I'm still awake and I can't get to sleep. I take a small walk to make myself tired. I can hear some girls in a boys room and I have my suspicions. I walk back to my room and fall asleep

Day TWO:

We wake up and most people have a sugar hangover. We have half an hour to wake up and get to breakfast. Some people are late and look a bit like zombies. The food they give us tastes a little processed and most of us leave half of it. We have another half hour to get ready and go back on the bus to see the rest of Zlatibor (Golden Pine).

We first go to a train station and we see a grand black steam train with rails and a funnel! We have a small break and head back to the bus.

We went to another train station and got ice creams before going on a different grand black steam train and watching the wonderful view of Golden Pine, making a wish, climbing up a small hill and seeing a small bit of a scene.

After leaving the train and having a delicious meal we went to a small wooden town made of completely natural stuff. There was no chemicals, no processed food, no non-organic matter and no major building material. I have to admit, it was so wonderful there even if there wasn't any coca cola

After the wonderful natural experience we got back to the bus and went to the hotel. We were given half an hour to get ready for a sport hour. We played soccer, basketball, volley ball, badminton, Etc.

Later on, we did the same thing as the night before and went to the lake. That night most of us ate MEGA CANDY FLOSS and walked around the block. When we got back to the main market area I asked Mr. Daws if I could get some NON-proccessed meat at a meat shop just 'round the corner. He said yes but only if I took someone with me so I took Alfie. Alfie and I got two medium sized packages of meat; one had small bits of bacon-wrapped chicken and the other was a marinaded chicken fillet.

When we got back to the hotel we were greeted by just about all the girls and some boys. At first we were confused as to of what happened. Turns out, no-one but Mr. Daws and Nastavnica knew about us going to the meat shop, so half of the class were worried sick about us. In the end, we laughed it off and went to bed

Day THREE:

Did the same routine of waking up, getting dressed, eating processed breakfast (IT WAS MOVING) and getting ready for the bus.

We arrived at another church and this one had The White Angel. There we had a look in the church, some of us prayed, and just about all of us put a candel in the prayer water. Then we left for lunch back in Zlatibor.

We left for Belgrade an hour later and took the same route back. We even saw the PUPPIES!!! However, one of the puppies was dying and sadly, is not with us anymore. The girls were heart broken and wouldn't leave the puppy alone. At least the brothers were alive and well. Hopefully one day they'll have puppies.

We finally arrived back at school with our mothers greeting us with warm hugs. I have to say I'm glad I had this experience, in more than one way.

Lets go on - Idemo Dalje

The film was great. It showed love, compassion, hate, vengeance, and logical politics. What i enjoyed was the fact that every once and a while the main character said "lets go on". Another thing i enjoyed was that now and then the principal tried to have a reason to be angry at the teacher and he left and the teacher had a smug look on his face
